Primarily a 3 point shooter in Big 10 play, his minutes were reduced the last few games of the season. Northwestern was a top 25 defensive team but I didn’t think he was one of their better defenders. He was an average rebounder this past season.
Just going to give myself another pat on the back for guessing Hunter was a possibility a couple weeks ago.
Butler just announced his commitment to College of Charleston, so I didn’t get that right.
Probably more and better Asian food in Charleston.
You are certainly right, as Charleston is a big city with lots of vacationers. But think about it–Chinese food in South Carolina? I doubt there is a China Town anywhere near Charleston.
Actually they have several, and I have been to a couple of these:
I took my family on a vacation including time in Charleston. Beautiful city. Don’t recall eating Chinese, but I will take your experiences as proof that one can eat good Chinese there and damn near anywhere.
Does anyone from the greater Cincy remember “The Golden Wok”? That place was glorious. A kingdom of stale dry noodles you would devour pre-meal.
Carney was aggressively recruited by Steele and the staff out of high school. Just entered the portal after redshirting at Duquesne
While Carney seems like a nice player, unless my math is off we currently don’t have an open scholarship. Someone on the current roster will need to leave to create space.
Does he stay in the area? Robert Morris?
Offers out of high school: “offers from St. Bonaventure, UC Santa Barbara, Chattanooga, Georgia State and Miami (Ohio), plus previous offers from George Mason, Rice, Radford, Holy Cross, North Carolina A&T and Rice,”
A player so nice, Rice offered him twice.
Did you just quote the old Riuniti campaign? If so, I’m blown away. Love you. Let me find it.
Actually, here’s the ad. Just great. I wish this was my wedding song.
Found out last week -suprisingly - that the current fastest growing city in America is Walla Walla - the town so nice they named it twice!
Disco Riunite!
Kobe Rodgers is an interesting name in the portal. He went to St. X in Cincinnati and is a 6-3 guard. He played for Nove Southeastern which won the D2 national championship this year. They went 36-0 and scored over 100 points in most games. I would think we would have a greater need for a big if Harrison does not return but Steele clearly must have a good sense of what he can do.
Kobe Rodgers to College of Charleston. Makes sense with the Cincinnati connection to Coach Kelsey.
I’m renewing my call out of Frankie Policelli. I think he’s exactly the type of player that would help elevate the team to the next level. Brings that height, rebounding, shooting, and can defend multiple positions. If not him, I’d expect some kind of combo guard. The last thing I’d expect is an inside player.
Agree we need a big guard/wing who can rebound. Policelli would be a great addition.
