Ironically…Had they kept him…and lost him…The comp pick would have been (probably) a 3rd-rounder.
I’m not on twitter so I’m not up on all the rumors, but was it ever reported what the Steelers actually offered, if anything?
He wanted about 30 million with guarantees. Steelers supposedly offered (not officially) around 24-28 million, without the guarantees Porter wanted.
I am pretty sure behind the scenes Omar Khan and Porter’s agent were at least exchanging numbers. My guess is Pittsburgh had a number they would not exceed, Porter wanted more, and wasn’t going to play until he got it and Pittsburgh decided the negotiations were over.
JPJ is a solid CB, but not in the top 10.
Cowboys at 30 years without a Lombardi and counting. Eat shit, Porter.
Rodgers: “What the fuck, call it!”
McCarthy: “Fucking asshole!”
Also the Steelers: “God is good!”
When you can’t count on Boswell it’s not a good sign.
Like DK said, this season is basically a wash, and we’re just waiting to see what they do with the QB next year…
There were multiple plays in the game vs the Bengals where the Steelers o-line would reach down and lift the Bengals d-line leg off the ground while they were engaged with another blocker. Never heard if the league addressed it but it’s essentially no different than a chop block and pretty sketchy move.
I became a Steelers fan when Ben was drafted. The Rooney family, Mike Tomlin and my wife’s western PA roots made it easier.
Aaron Rodgers really tests my allegiance
Why? He’s just an old QB, who, after this season will probably have the best stats by a Steelers QB in about a decade
I think he is a Schmuck and I believe that if you took a poll of his former teammates I think it would be a common opinion.
I am also sorry that Mr. Tomlin is no longer with the team. I believe that year after year he had average talent and achieved above average results
We can agree to disagree on that one…as far as Rodgers goes, he’s the best QB the Steelers have had in a decade. It’s not his fault Art Rooney is a bad owner that won’t let Omar re-tool the team
First Steelers offensive play today.
Rodgers hit hard and buried…Going to be a long day.
But wait…He dumped it off to Warren who raced down the sideline for an 80-yard TD.
It’s going to be a good day! Maybe.
Team played well today and the QB and HC didn’t tell each other to fuck off on national tv!
