That tour put up crazy low numbers. He’s gotta play very aggressive. No reason not to really as he won’t make much for finishing last.
Patrick played fine. -11 or 12 under. Can’t recall. Made some money but likely 50th place. Problem is these Korn Ferry guys are androids and shoot bonkers low scores. Guy who wins will be -20 or so. Insane.
Tied for 56th.
Did not make the cut this week. Going to need a huge week next week it appears.
Doesn’t look like Patrick will not make the cut again this week. A disappointing end to an otherwise tremendous season. Obviously he won’t have a PGA Tour card to start next season, but I don’t what his status is on the Korn Ferry Tour. Hopefully he’s done enough to be a full member next season.
Korn Ferry is way tougher than the main tour.
Not looking good for him. Top 75 on the finals points list get full Korn Ferry status for next year. Unfortunately, he is projected to be 85th.
However, the top 100 from Finals are exempt to final stage of KFT Q school, so he still has one more chance to get Korn Ferry starts with a top 40 at Q school.
Patrick finished T-24 in last weeks KFT Q School Final. It earned him a spot in the first 8 KFT events of the season. Looking forward to following him again this season
Thanks for the updates. A couple years ago, I saw a pic of Patrick with his Miami golf bag. A great looking bag and I tweeted him telling him so. He responded very shortly after with a thank you and L&H. Pulling for him to get on the tour and have the weekend of his life by winning a tour event–or three!
Opening round of -4 at this week’s KFT event. Currently tied for 7th.
I like his trajectory. He’s played very solid all year and his scores are trending in the right direction. Go Pat!
Patrick Flavin made the cut at one of this week’s PGA Tour tourneys, the Corales Puntacana Championship (it’s being played opposite the RBC Heritage Classic, a signature event). He’s sitting T48 at 4-under par (the leader, Joel Dahman, is at -16). Good luck to him this weekend!
That’s huge!!!
Patrick had a tough final round on Sunday (+3) and slipped back to T49 for the tourney. Still, he cashed a check ($10,180) and got some valuable PGA Tour experience. I don’t see Patrick in the field for this upcoming week’s PGA Americas event in Equador, but Charlie Nikitas is, so good luck to him!
Congratulations to Patrick on defending his title today at the Bakersfield Open on the Asher Tour!! He birdied the 18th hole to get into a T1 at -13, and then birdied the first playoff hole for the victory. Outstanding!!
Checked to see if Patrick was playing anywhere this weekend. Turns out he’s playing in a PGA-Americas event and is currently T-2. Excited to see how the weekend goes for him.
Solo 2nd after round 3. One shot behind the leader. No idea what a win would mean for him in terms of Korn ferry or PGA.
Top 10 in points at the end of the season would give him a Korn Ferry card. I believe 3 wins in a season would give him a “battlefield promotion” onto the Korn Ferry tour, but I’m not entirely sure if it works like that for the Americas Tour
Flavin wins after shooting a final round 67!
Patrick wins by two shots! First win on the PGA-Americas Tour. Great opportunity now to make it to the KFT
