So, the same acceptance rate as your “prestigious” university. Congrats on having a better US News ranking though. I’m sure that being 136th instead of 179th makes a huge difference.
At least kids who end up in Athens generally want to be there and aren’t there because half a dozen actual selective universities told them to get lost.

Academic smack is obnoxious enough coming from a place like Northwestern. When it comes from a place that makes its bones as a safety school for affluent little preppies who were rejected by their Big Ten school, it becomes comical.
(shrugs) I never applied to a Big Ten or any other school for my undergrad education.

This is actually kind of funny given the views and opinions of a number of graduate school deans/programs, hiring managers, and upper level administrators/managers I’ve encountered and talked to over the years.
