I just told the guy he was late for his shift at McDonalds! Put the fries in the bag
I just turned 74. I was a junior in high school the last time OU won a championship. As my son would say, âThink about that!â
I was just impressed that many OU grads had carsâŚ.
Maybe with a better education, you would have been consistent with all-caps in your title. But your OUness, you fâked it up. Not surprised that writing was such a challenge. Next timeâproofread before you hit send.
And then there is that pesky all-time series record between the two schools. Your talk about âowningâ us isnât proven out by the facts. Go aheadâgoogle it.
=>Um, anyone wanna tell @MightyMU1 why the y was lower case? There was a reason Fred!
I am obviously unaware of the reason. Better, Iâll blame it on old age.
Iâve read huge amounts of all type of written material in the last 50+ years. Never came across this. I admit ignorance. Sorry.
=>OU in you is capitalized and the y is lowercase to emphasize OU as in Ohio University.
Thanks. Iâll try to remember for more than 10 minutes. Short term memory loss can become very annoying.
=>Getting old sux. I am just shy of 51 and brain farts come more frequently.
as do the gastro-intestinal kind too.
And to add to the misery, I have found that being retired is greatly overrated.
Now that is sad. Best times in life for a Miami grad should be college and retirement.
In retirement I have found that working was overrated.
I donât want to be misunderstood. Retirement is miles better than working. Make my own schedule. Go to Oxford for the MES bball and KSU fball game during the week without having to adjourn something or have to be concerned with what is on my desk. Get up when I want, drink coffee and read the latest news. Spending time reading what I want to read as opposed to what I have to read. Having to deal with difficult clients, judges, other attorneys/accounts is a tremendous improvement in my life.
But it does occasionally become monotonous. However, all in all, it is much more enjoyable.
And as for college, they were, as is often said, the best four years of my life.
So, everything is relative. And retirement is a hell of an improvement over workâeveryday!
