Pitt hasn’t done much of anything since they canned Wanny
BG is solid. Run to ball well and Bazelak looks like he’ll be one of, if not the best QB in MAC (in spite of 2 bad Ints at end).
Anyway you say it, he was a star at Miami, but just another player at Ole Miss.
BG played a great game and another great showing by the MAC against the Big 10!
Pitt was down 27-13. The Panthers scored to make it 27-19 and they went for 2 because new-age analytics say go for 2 if you’re down by 14, that way, you can take the lead with the extra point if you score another TD. Except they didn’t get the 2-point conversion. Pitt just scored again… and went for 2 to tie the game but didn’t convert. So thanks to analytics, Pitt still trails by 2 when the Panthers could have easily tied it just by kicking extra points.
This is why the use of analytics doesn’t always make sense.
Need to actually win some of these though
Always so close
Great showing by BG
Both Pitt and UC look like crap. Shame that those two mediocrities don’t share a conference anymore.
Sideline reporter: “Pitt works on the 2-minute drill during practice each day.”
How is that any different than any other team at any level?
Nippert should start playing Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.”
That song tends to work there when all hope seems lost and you need to block a FG attempt.
Meanwhile, Kent is Kenting. Down 17-0 to St. Francis in the 2nd quarter.
For those who want some schadenfreude:
Sorbsy just did his best impression of Tyler Tettleton circa 2012.
Bazalek is def the better of the IU QB transfers…
Did the Pitt players just run straight to the end zone to taunt the UC student section?
Well done, Panthers.
They’re acting like they have been horrible for decades.
NIU softening up Notre Dame for us, down 7-0.
Eastern looking competent at Washington. Stopped Huskies on a three and out, blocked a punt and went for it on fourth and goal from the two. Didn’t get it.
Is the leading rusher for Eastern named “Lil” or “ill “.? I honestly can’t tell from the box score.
NIU
A strategy improving your chances doesn’t mean it’s a guaranteed thing. Play to win; don’t play not to lose.
