Okay NIU!!
So looks like we have a 4 way tie at 4-1 with 3 games to go. We just have to keep winning. People need to be thinking about going up to BG for our last game, at noon on Black Friday. That will probably be a game that we need to win to get to the championship game and we will need a big road crowd that day.
NIU wins big on the road, handing Western Michigan their first conference loss.
So 4 teams are 4-1 and 2 teams are 3-2. Just keep winning.
We will be there.
May be up to 7 MAC teams bowling this year, mostly with barely .500 records (likely a few 6-6 and/or 7-5 type teams).
Week 12:
Buffalo wins vs Ball St
BG wins vs WMU
Toledo wins vs CMU
Miami wins vs Kent St
Ohio wins vs EMU
Week 13:
NIU wins @ Miami
WMU wins @ CMU
Buffalo wins @ EMU
Toledo wins vs Ohio
BG wins @ Ball St
Week 14:
Toledo wins @ Akron
Buffalo wins vs Kent St
Miami wins @ BG
Ohio wins vs Ball St
WMU wins vs EMU
6 way tie for first place at 6-2 between Miami, Ohio, BG, WMU, Toledo, and Buffalo. The tiebreaker would be the combined winning percentage of each team’s conference opponents.
LMBO
Would love to be there but I could fly to Europe for what it would cost to get from an airport in the Carolinas to DTW Thanksgiving weekend.
no, he coaches at Buffalo now
App State at Coastal and FAU at ECU tonight. Both Chanticleer and Pirate student sections have turned out strong for midweek action - in the spirit of Live Mas - especially strong showing at Coastal.
Both teams - App and CCU - are 4-4. ECU is 4-4 and just fired Mike Houston. FAU is 2-6.
I was checking EAst Carolina schedule because they fired their coach and are now 5-4. They played zero P4. Zero. What a pathetic schedule for an AAC team
…but will now likely be bowl bound despite their revamp under a new HC. ECU used to have. Great home crowds for football and after some down years I am guessing just making a bowl this year will be considered an accomplishment.
They should have never fired “Ruffin the passer McNeill” as head coach. Dude played there and had them in a bunch of bowl games although I’m not sure they won many of them. I do recall them beating some P5 teams when he was there. Seems like he did that almost every year. Now I gotta go look…
Edit: how the hell is he not coaching anywhere? I went and because I have a supercomputer mind on par with Big Blue, was not shocked to find I was right. This is nuts:
Year one at ECU: he beat NC State
Year two: (lost in OT to a ranked VA Tech)
Year three: beat #6 App state (ok, they were FCS then, but still.)
Year four: beat North Carolina and NC State in the same season.
Year five: beat #17 VA Tech and North Carolina, lost a close bowl game to Florida.
Year six: finished 5-7, got fired this year but still beat VA Tech
Again, he hasn’t had a head coaching job since. I don’t get it!
My son is a FAU grad. He thought Herman would be great for them
Georgia Tech colors, and their uniform combination today of blue pants, white jerseys and gold helmets: Sharp look.
And then I flip over to Michigan, and they have the same look, blue pants, white jerseys, and mostly gold helmets.
Good uniform matchup Indiana versus Michigan.
Good win for Tech.
Cignetti says he’s confident in his kicker from “45 yards and in…”
So the kicker for an undefeated Big Ten team wouldn’t even have a roster spot in Oxford.
He’d have a roster spot, he’d just sit for two seasons until he morphed into another cannon leg like his three predecessors. If he could beat out McLaughlin.
