Other college football games 2024

WMU up big on the road against Buffalo, which would get them to 3-0. They still have to play NIU and BG, but they dodge us, Toledo, and Ohio.

CMU had a 34-16 lead with 13:36 left in the 4th against EMU and lost 38-34

Graham Nicholson missed from 54 yd

He’s only 2/4 on FG attempts this year.

Maryland trailed by 14 against USC. They scored a TD, converted the 2, and scored another TD to win by 1.

Western beating Buffalo was good for us in that Buffalo’s MAC schedule looked the easiest and I don’t think Western will go through unblemished. The only thing that would’ve been better would’ve been NIU giving Toledo a 2nd loss.

Results still gave us a big boost in the standings😂

Yes, and the next 3 games should be easy ones for us. I guess WMU has a slightly tougher schedule moving on

NIU somehow had 100 yards more offense, 25 first downs to Toledo’s 15, almost double the TOP, and no turnovers yet lost 13-6.

This is our conference. It has always been our conference.

Texas fans were throwing water bottles on the field after disliking a pass interference call.

And the refs changed the call after the tsunami of water bottles. Crazy stuff. Georgia’s coach will have a heart attack

As one gentle reader predicted (no names mentioned. Ok, it was me) Alabama is trending toward 3 losses. This is their new reality. The SEC is simply too deep for them to dominate like they used to. Also, I have family who loves Oklahoma. They are entering the Nebraska long tail decline before our eyes. Even if you’re in the best conference in the country making gobs of money (and spending it as fast as it comes in on the arms race) at what point do your insane diehard legion of get tired of going 7-5. Or worse!

I’m looking forward to the CFP semi-finals with The
Army versus The Navy rematch and Indiana versus Iowa State.

That’s why the big boys in the B1G/SEC will never cut loose their dead weight. Their fans couldn’t deal with a steady stream of NFL style 8-4 seasons. They need their Purdues and Mississippi States.
