Cookout part 2: Electric Boogaloo???
The BLC would hold an open practice event before the season, they didnāt have one last year because of the coaching change but I went to the one the year before and there were a good amount of people there. They did do a skills competition (although they had trouble with the radar gun so the hardest shot part didnāt work) and Greg Waddell came in and announced for all the different segments. We had pizza with the team afterwards and there was supposed to be coffee with the coach beforehand but he didnāt show up to that part. It was fun and I hope we see more events like it!
I completely forgot they did that ā I remember now but I had to work the last time they had it. Sucks getting old.
I had a boogaloo sandwich in Detroit at a place called Soul In the Wall two years ago. Good stuff.
Our coach was an infant when the movie came out!
Iām glad you appreciated the reference bc I debated on whether or not to say thatš
Just because itās old doesnāt mean it isnāt epically fantastically awesome. So many movies have lifted the plot of Breakinā 2: Electric Boogaloo itās not even funny. Beaches is a lift of Breakinā 2. As is No Country for Old Men, and so too is Kill Bill, A Star is Born. Finding Nemo. I could go on.
Do not feel bad!
That was Sat. Am on a football game day, correct?Pre season open practice and pizza ?
Makes it easier for non townies to attend.
Yeah the football game was away though. Wouldāve been nice to head over to Yager after and make a day of it!
Giampa in his new gear-
Unfortunately his number isnāt on his helmet yetā¦he wore #8 at Canisius and our #8 from last year is still on the roster so weāll have to wait to see what heāll choose. He has also worn 18 in the past
Or, #44!
I didnāt realize the ice was still down.
Nvm didnāt realize this was the same guy posted here a week ago
Some would like to see a photo of me with āCOMMITTEDā in all caps across it.
Interesting that CHL teams are celebrating their players signing with NCAA schools. He was out of eligibility anyway though.
Cisek and Dukovac in Goggin opening weekend??
If true, thatās a great move for him. Riley did a great job with LIU (Spencer Cox loved playing for him) and heās a rising star in college hockey IMO.
I have a soft spot for Ferris. I really hope Riley can turn that program around.
Also impressive that Cisek would be hooking up with his fifth team out of the 11 in the Indiana-Ohio-Michigan college corridor (Miami, Lake St., Michigan State, Notre Dame and Ferris).
Muskegon tied the series tonight 1-1 with a big bounce back night from Shika and 2 goals from Deputy

Muskegonās coach said in the postgame presser his team was nervous to start the series.
He was asked about coming back with Shika in Game 2 and said Shika has had very few bad outings, and when he has, heās always rebounded strong in his next start.
He was 22-for-23 last night after stopping 1 of 4 shots before getting the hook on Friday.
