In our last 17 regular season MAC games, we’re 0-2 against Toledo and 15-0 against everyone else.

How did NIU beat ND? I watched that game and NIU won the battle in the trenches. They didn’t look like the same team tonight although our prevent offense in the second half let them back in the game (sort of).

I had a work dinner so I just finished watching on the DVR. A lot of good things. Suttle’s best game ever. The offense started great but then we couldnt protect on passes any longer. The defense was outstanding. Special teams wasnt great - we lost tons of field position on punts both ways
But overall an outstanding win. I predicted 7-5 to start the season and now I will be disappointed with 7-5 but it will be really tough next Friday. However we do get the extra recovery time

Also how did NIU beat ND. NIU defensive line is tough and Riley Leonard was awful passing at the beginning of the year. Niu also had their really good running back in that one. And they probably got ND in a trap game. But I think NIU is pretty good especially if the other team doesnt have a dynamic passing game

As a native of Rockford I take offense! Although leading the nation in the late 80s for both murder rates and unemployment multiple years might give just a touch of credibility to your statement 
My nickname freshman year at Miami was small town. I remain convinced that is the largest city in America no one has ever heard of. When I was growing up it was the second largest city in a state with a larger population than Ohio.
Oh and just because it pissed off NIU fans 2 years ago…

When you think about it the second half was a vintage Chuck game. Conservative on offense (maybe a bit too conservative), rely on defense and special teams. It’s a formula that works in MAC play pretty well.
