He’s been having an incredible season, just scored his 24th goal. His previous career high was 22 in a season. Has goals in 3 of his last 4 games.

Jack Roslovic traded to the Rangers at the deadline. Almost made it to 3:00.
If it wasn’t him it was probably gonna be Reilly smith to the rangers they had interest in him too

Was really hoping one of those 2 would end up with the Canes! They could of gone up against Coleman on Sunday.
I thought for sure the Canes GM would be conservative and go for Reilly with having another year on his contract and being a solid playoffs player. But I can’t complain with getting Guentzel from PIT instead, albeit a likely rental!
Was this trade deadline as maddening as it seemed? Or was it just me who is pretty new to NHL fandom, I couldn’t stay off Twitter, and I know I’m way too invested in the Hurricanes to keep calm at this time?!?!

Johnny, it is so hard to be a CBJ fan. I have followed them since their inception. Haven’t gone to a game in the last two seasons, just can’t justify making the trip and paying the money to watch the product.

And somehow, after being given up for dead earlier, the Penguins are right back in contention for the playoffs.
Seems like the Guentzel for Bunting+prospects trade did both teams some good!
Also moving off Jarry as the primary keeper, and playing some younger guys have also helped old man Malkin and Crosby as well.
Have a feeling Jarry might be heard from yet before the season is over.

Miami mention on the CBJ broadcast- they were interviewing Gavin Brindley’s parents since it’s his first game and mentioned his dad, Ryan, playing at Miami and being back in Ohio.
Coincidentally Gavin is one of Anthony Noreen’s former players from Tri City. He’s sung Noreen’s praises before about being a great coach and having a great locker room
