Yep. This is starting to look like a disaster of the largest kind. I have said this many a time, but need to add a line. If you can not attract good/great female athletes to Miami you need to find a new line of work, additionally if you can not find a good/great coach to do that, then the AD needs to find a new line of work. This will be a tremendously challenging job for awhile, but not forever. We are down, but we should never be out.
Dick calls him back. Asks how much his buyout is.
Dick also demanded an āIām off to Vegas for 3 months clause!ā
You make valid points here. A name you used I honestly had not thought of for awhile and it gave me pauseā¦Randy Walker. Would you believe a professor told me the story of Coach Walker, the Miamian, on my recruiting visit there. His impact on that professor as a student-athlete was obviously deep and this professor knew them all. So to explain why a few of us have such an enthusiastic hope CDH gets the job, its not that she is a āMiami insiderā, no, its instead how she represented Miami on the court, in the classroom culminating in an Academic All-Amer. honor as a womenās bball player and lastly her successes as an Asst. here while gaining the Post Grad degrees. Had she have looked elsewhere right out of graduation for an asst position, I can 100% say she would have landed at a Power conference jobā¦she garnered that kind of respect as a Miami player, an AAU All Amer., and like Randy Walker, garnered such respect of the mentors in her life. So, you mentioned Randy Walker and that nailed itā¦its not that they were both alums, its how and what they did here as students and coaches. Totally agree with that buyout clause aspect also. I hope you meet her someday.
Its Glenn Box
The door we just heard slamming was probably MotherMiami leaving the buildingā¦
I hope she stays around. I liked her comments. Ps, at least she still has a team she played on to support even if the coach she wanted didnāt get the job. Iād be happy if menās tennis was still around.
They arenāt even given preference in playing womenās sports.
