Maybe he got a waiver? I don’t know. The NCAA has so many rules these days.
More good news on the way?
I understand that and also have no problem with him leaving Colorado. Fully understandable. What happened at Houston? I have no idea, but he left. It remains a fact that this is his third school. Does it raise red flags? To me, yes. That’s all.
Perhaps Sanders will also play baseball for the Rockies ?
He is eligible to play
The kids that graduated high school in 2021/2022 were given stars without anyone seeing them play in person. Comparing a 3 star kid in a big conference in Florida vs. a 3 star at a small school in Indiana. Who’s better? Both 3 stars. Star system is a guide at best.
I love Deion and think he will be hugely successful. Not sure why you guys are hating on him so much. His kid will likely go into NFL draft this year or next.
I think it’s a great pick up. We can’t have too many quality players.
Rashad Amos, a RB from South Carolina, just committed to us.
I agree with this
Colorado was 1-11 and in the era of free agency it is probably better for all parties to move along as soon as possible
As to how good Deion son is going to be - I have no idea - I didnt watch more than 5 minutes of Jackson State all year. But obviously he was part of the deal to come to Colorado and it makes sense for our new QB to get out now
Agree. I suppose…Some people love to hate.
Amos offered (HS) by Tennessee, Maryland, and others.
To the original point of if a particular player is the best player because they are a 4 star versus 3 stars, yes I agree that stars are just a guide, it’s not a given that the 4 star is better.
However, most NFL players are three stars only because there are so many three stars. In aggregate, stars do a good job of predicting both success in college (blue chip ratio) and in the NFL.
Amos covers for Shelton’s departure hopefully, another great pickup
Have you watched the video? Have you been in a room like that? There was measurably more disrespect than motivation in that speech
I was shocked. I was a Deion fan….up until that point….
It’s the same reaction I give to a coach who blames the players for a loss
All you need to know about Deion is that he is followed 24 hours a day by a video crew whose slick, edited product is uploaded to numerous YouTube channels, from which he derives income. It’s all about the brand.
I sorta wonder if some of that was for show. Not making excuses as I feel that’s an inauthentic way to make a first impression but he’s a celebrity so all normal rules are out. I respect his bigger ideal here (you gotta earn it) but it is a bit muddy when his kid doesn’t have to? But then his own kid is better than any QB he has. But then there’s no way to prove it without competition? Yeah. It’s kinda complicated.
Do you guys think Colorado fans would rather have 1) Deion 2) Karl Dorrell 3) Bill McCartney from the 90s
I am guessing its Deion
Ask them in three years.
