Mid-Major Top 25

Careful, historically the punishment for making personal attacks towards me on MHT is having to spend time with me in person. Just ask @yanksalex :joy: weā€™re already in the same city!

Cā€™mon now! I hold the same bar, however low it might be, for everyone.

My group already has tickets for Cleveland!

Probably the least surprising news Iā€™ve ever heard! Hope the stars align and weā€™re there, too, although are you allowed to play at the same building for the tournament where you played your conference tournament?

Absolutely. Jive?

Would love to meet everyone in person at some point. Kidsā€™ athletics take precedence for now.

Love and Honor.

Whatā€™s the cost? Not fair for one person to have the burden. More than happy to donate.

I thought Jive played club football at Miami and the team was really good? Either that or the mushrooms just kicked in.

I think he spends about $50k all in, but youā€™d have to confirm with him as it could be way, way, way less.

(I know I get at least $51k of enjoyment out of it.)

Also, I think Jive might be a white hat hacker for the NSA, so you should probably keep him on your good side. Or, heā€™s a black hat. I canā€™t keep up anymore as the whole thing starts to feel like spy versus spy from Mad Magazine, but you get my point.

The rule is that you canā€™t play a tournament game in a venue where you played more than three regular season home games (except the First 4 and Final 4). Thereā€™d be no issue with us being sent to Cleveland. First round games in Lexington this year also looking potentially enticing.

Not the shrooms this time :joy: primarily a WR, ended up in the national championship. Weā€™d play our preseason scrimmage against D3 teams and stomp them.

Showdown with #23 Akron Saturday!

Makes more sense (not really):

And I might be in the FBI. Go, Jive. Main thing is MU is getting love. Donā€™t really care about trivial rankings otherwise as it still means one MAC school in March.

Given where Miami has been for the last 15 years, being named anywhere is an awesome accomplishment for this team and Steele.

Donā€™t disagree. Commenting on the nonsensical nature of ā€œmid-majorā€. I know some of you are very rule oriented. Weā€™ll be even better next year. Donā€™t have much depth this year, but Iā€™m super optimistic the boys will make the Tournament.

We go nine deep comfortably.

I tend to disagree with ā€œcomfortablyā€. Skaljac is super promising, but plays minimally and doesnā€™t contribute much. However, for a freshman, I think heā€™s doing great. Ipsaro could contribute more as well. Byers has been starting to turn it on.

I do believe next yearā€™s freshmen class is likely the deepest since Juby/Chet/Gene/etc. (ā€˜00).

Honestly, Iā€™m not sure how close some of you follow Miami sports. This team is great, but thereā€™s absolutely minimal depth. MAC is weak this year. I still think OU and Akron will be incredibly competitive games. Iā€™m optimistic the Red and White will be playing in March, but we shall see.

Love and Honor.

Waitā€¦ how deep do you think most college basketball teams are? And could you give an example of a team you see as being deep? Akron is 8 deep, so not them.
