The WNIT is now the third tier tournament after the creation of the WBIT. Still good to be able to keep playing.

Buffalo is also in the WNIT. Toledo is in the WBIT. Schedule and times and dates to be announced tomorrow. The last two times ( when Duffy was the coach) we hosted the first round game but lost, once to Duquesne and once to Western Kentucky.

Pay the money, get a home game. I want more Miami basketball.

Woof.

The Miami woman have a bye into the second round of the WNIT.

Looking at the bracket it appears that may have a home game next Sunday 3-23

You’ve got to be kidding me :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Playing winner of Duquesne and longwood it seems

Enjulina leaving is a kick in the teeth. This leaves a gaping hole in the foundation Coach Box is building. I hate the new world.

These last 40+ hours have been filled with nothing but bad news.

I wonder what this means regarding her sister Ziul?
Will she want a package deal as her sister does not have a college resume of her own.

The sister (along with the fact she’d already transferred once) was why I was expecting her to return. Her sister didn’t play at all this season. Is she a potential player for us or was it a Thanasis/Bronny situation?

I prefer…

“Or was it a Devin Davis / Puncho Farquharson situation”. :stuck_out_tongue:

This looks like somebody in the B1G has already made an under the table offer.

I would think Miami F would be a perfect landing spot for her.

She was recovering from an injury for most of the year and could not practice, thus the redshirt. She averaged 15 ppg in hs and was the second best player on two state champions as a freshman and sophomore. Other than that, I don’t know any more. She said in an interview that she was a 3 point shooter.

We’ll never find out because…

Nice to know her, I guess?

So Longwood 22-10 plays at Duquesne 19-12. Longwood. lost in the Big South championship game to High Point by 6 points. Duquesne beat #8 Fordham by 16, then lost to #1 Richmond by 5 points.

Duquesne has a 5-7 guard, Megan McConnell who is very good. She averages 18ppg and also led the Dukes in rebounding at 5.5pg.Longwood is led by sophomore guard Amon Harris at 11ppg and has 5 girls between 9.9 and 7.sppg

6-2 is the biggest girl on either roster. Duquesne played a few of the teams we played this year. In December they lost at Kent by 20 and won at home over BG by 8. In A-10 play they beat GW 97-55 away and lost at home to Dayton by 9.

If we get a home game, and if Enj plays, I favor us. The game will be played on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday and is determined by who will pay the most to host ( I think). In the past, David Saylor bought us a home game but we lost pretty close games both times.
