Anyone left to play?
Why would Enjulina play for us and risk injury?
Could raise her transfer stock
Sheās got enough on tape and nothing to prove.
Pace played with Miami in a bowl game before transferring to UC. It would be finishing the season with your friends/teammates.
I am surprised to find out that Cori has another year of eligibility remaining. I thought she played two years in junior college and 2 years with Miami. She did go through the Senior day ceremonies.
I am pretty sure Junior college doesnt count towards eligibility anymore per court ruling
Forgot about that. Was that a ruling involving the Vanderbilt QB?
Yes. Technically it only applied to him because he didnāt file it as a class action, but the logic applies to everyone in the same boat.
@DICK These days I think money trumps teammates/friendsip. Iām guessing her agent will advise her not to play. Weāll see.
Did you watch her facial expressions when her team mates missed passes or shots she felt they should catch or make? I understand why she was frustrated and at times tried to do too much, but thatās not a good look.
@skin66 Yes, I noticed that all year. I chalked it up to immaturity. Her other interactions with teammates, during warmups and after games, seemed very positive.
I agree. She did offer positive stuff. I also could give the immaturity thing some credence. Still wish she could have been more uplifting right after. My experience tells me that rolling your eyes at someone does not make them play better.
I would prefer that Enjulina not play Sunday. While she is a Miami student until the end of the semester, in my opinion her entering the portal ends her time as a Miami basketball player. I hope she is successful wherever she goes and that she gets a big bag of money. But, she no longer deserves the honor of wearing a Miami jersey.
Iām OK with Cori playing because she will have her Miami degree soon and will always be a Miamian.
Hennessy left the team mid-season so this has no impact.
All this just makes me think of that YouTube out there of Gino Auriemma answering a reporterās question of 'how to fix the NIL/transfer portal problems. I disagree with Gino on a lot but this timeā¦he nailed it. And someday long down the road, these former athletes will on a whim visit one of their old campuses and just maybe, just maybe they will understand that they missed out on how special attending college free of charge to just learn a profession while playing the sport that they loved could have been very special.
Get off my lawn.
I think this same very thought but itās about all the girls who could have dated me when I was young and handsome before I got old and fat.
