I am going to wait and bet on us later. Usually the line moves against MAC teams, then I hear betters complaining about them being better than he thought.
I am going to be in Nevada but I do plan on going to the game, it is driveable from Las Vegas or Mesquite.
Like a lot of the bowl games outside of the playoffs, the result will somewhat depend on who has the most players opt out for the portal or other reasons.
The Michigan v Alabama game for instance will feature players that seldom saw the field in the regular season.
This is a bowl game I would truly like to attend but the cheapest airfare from MYR, ILM or RDU is $765 - to either PHX or TUS.
I don’t think I can justify doing that.
ILM is Wilmington, where I live. MYR is a 75 minute drive and RDU is a 2 1/2 hour drive. Cheapest from ILM is nearly $1,200. Southwest is $800 - $1,000 from both MYR and RDU.
The game in Fort Collins was fun. It started in the parking lot where a van load of CSU fans harassed my daughter and me when they saw us in our Miami gear. The usual “ the-real Miami is in Florida “stuff.
Our daughter answered back finally “ be here after the game, we’ll talk”. They were gone when we got back.
In the stadium we won the toss and took the ball. The fan in green across the aisle from our block looked at us and laughed. “ Don’t you know you’re supposed to defer.” He left early also.
We took a knee rather than score again at the end.
ESPN has quick write up on all the bowl match ups. We are listed as a 1.5 point favorite. Somewhat surprisingly, it looked like the MAC teams were slightly favored in most of the games.
Was hoping to make it 3 bowls in a row, but it’s not gonna happen, no flights from the Costa Rican jungle get me there in time (and no way am I leaving a day early!). Unless anyone can send me a private jet?
Actually don’t, we might actually win if I’m not in attendance
Snoop AI was on the right track, by “paint” he was thinking of last year’s Cure Bowl when the entire team was covered in field markings from the monsoon.
