No real surprises. I thought Rohrs might start at OG but he is backup to Uke from Stanford. We are light on the DL, especially inside. No sugar coating that. Getting off blocks against Wisky’s massive OL will be a challenge. And Silas Walters is on the depth chart twice! He will play nickel and safety!! (I’ve already contacted someone in the SID office to address this since I don’t think our plan is to only play 10 on D!) I have a feeling we will rotate a lot of bodies at DE and interior DL. Same with RB. I can see all 4 on the depth chart at RB getting significant time. We do have decent height at CB and S.

I am surprised that portal UC transfer Wilson and Hammonds are not on the two/three deep for DL- they both are on the roster- Bluesman any intel?
If we want any shot at leaving Madison with a win, we need the defense to stay off the field. Forcing long third downs and executing will be critical.

Per speculation, they are either injured or were beaten out. Just because you transfer from a power conference, doesn’t mean you are better than others already on the roster. They can still be valuable depth pieces if not injured. But I have my best man on it!

Got it - thanks. Hammonds esp interesting as he played a lot last year including starting I believe in the bowl game.
Some guys who some of us were expecting to see on the two-deep chart might be in Martin’s dog house for various reasons or might be “classroom casualties”. To note, this is just pure speculation on my part.

A little surprised Braylon Isom isn’t anywhere on the receivers 2 deep. Played in the bowl game last year. Was highly touted coming out of high school. With the injuries I was expecting him to have a big role.
Could be injured too.
I think we will play more than 6 WR’s.

I am guessing that Walters is #1 at both positions and will divide his time. So if you put him as the #2 at one of the positions that would not adequately describe the situation. Educated guess.

I noticed only 2 radio stations listed 1450 Hamilton and 980 Dayton
G101.3fm was the station I used most in the stadium and online

Per my discussion with SID office, Walters will be playing both positions at various times. This was to make it easier on the media. My suggestion was to do what many schools do and put two people at each position separate by an “or”. That may be seen in future game notes. I really need to be placed on the payroll!

Early weather forecast for Thursday in Madison, high of 74, low of 49. Rain showers probability of 91%. No hourly available.
This morning the weather channel seems to be predicting the likeliest chances of rain might be overnight on Wednesday (60%) and during the day on Thursday (40%). The colder air (I can’t believe I used the term colder air) and some clearing seems to be moving in during Thursday evening.
I hope the rain gets there earlier in Wednesday and moves out a little earlier on Thursday to give us a pretty day on Thursday.
The forecast seems to be changing every few hours. Lets hope for the best!
