PSA for YouTubeTV subscribers: they’re in an ongoing rights dispute with Fox and are set to lose those channels on Wednesday. That includes BTN, which is broadcasting the game on Thursday. Might make sense to have a contingency plan in place beforehand in case it’s not resolved by then.

Wisky gamenotes. In a word, they are big. Depth chart at page 22/49. DL averages well over 300. 5 of the 6 over 300 and the other is 299. They have a 6’5” 290 OLB! Miami better strap them on tight!

Love the all whites!

I got in yesterday for work, and local weather says showers early in day, clear by game time. We’ll see if that holds!

A true freshman that decommited from us on signing day, Cairo Skanes, is on their two deep at cornerback.

Interesting early history of the Camp Randall site during the first half hour or so of the documentary. I learned deeper into it that the term “On, Wisconsin!” dates back to a Wisconsin Regimental Lieutenant’s call to charge Missionary Ridge.

The flag bearer who yelled On, Wisconsin was no other than the future father of WWII General Douglas McArthur.

“At the Battle of Missionary Ridge on November 25, 1863, during the Chattanooga Campaign, the 18-year-old Arthur MacArthur inspired his regiment during a largely uncoordinated and spontaneous frontal assault of Union forces against entrenched Confederate forces on a hilltop. During the charge the regimental flags were carried in front, so that every flag-bearer was constantly a target, causing immense casualty among them. MacArthur seized the flag from a fallen comrade and planted the regimental flag on the crest of Missionary Ridge” At a particularly critical moment, shouting “On, Wisconsin.” For these actions, he was awarded the Medal of Honor. He was brevetted colonel in the Union Army the following year. Only 19 years old at the time, he became nationally recognized as “The Boy Colonel” (not to be confused with Henry K. Burgwyn, known as the “Boy Colonel of the Confederacy”).

It’s just weird to have a QB not named Brett Gabbert, but looking forward to seeing Finn.

After 6 years of gabbert, we still somehow have a QB from that same high school class of 2018

Fellow YouTube TV watchers are good for tonight

“Fox and YouTube TV on Wednesday agreed to an eleventh-hour short-term extension to their distribution deal, narrowly avoiding a blackout of all Fox’s content on the platform.”

I’ve still got a Starter windbreaker from Washington.

They also sell opposing Big Ten school hats (Washington is included).
