Miami v. Rutgers Gamenote. Same depth chart for Miami as last game. No apparent changes.
+14.5
Game notes show game is on BTN, but graphic shows Peacock? Will it be on both? And does anyone actually have/pay for Peacock?! (Yes, I’m behind the times with my U-verse cable, i’m emotionally attached to it at this point
)
Fairly certain it’s just on peacock, I only have it for premier league soccer games so this is a bonus
BTN is airing Northern Illinois at Maryland Saturday afternoon, so it looks like we’re only on Peacock, which blows.
I just realized I’ve attended 4 Miami games in person in the last 13 months: Northwestern, Notre Dame, MAC Champ, and last week in Madison, and I’ve yet to see Miami score a TD in those 4 games.
And onward to Piscataway this weekend…could be the last one in a while.
You should come to Homecoming when we play Lindenwood. so that you can see lots of Miami Touchdowns.
Also Homecoming Tickets for $5.13 until midnight tonight.

Ticket Tuesday Continues Tomorrow!**
This week’s flash sale is 513 Deal - $5.13 tickets for the September 27 game
Ticket Tuesday returns with a new 24-hour flash sale. Each Tuesday’s unique offer is unveiled in Miami Monday. The offer will begin at 12 a.m. and run through 11:59 p.m. each Tuesday. Fans can purchase tickets for the offer at MiamiRedHawks.com/promos with the promocode TICKETTUESDAY . Although the deal changes, the promo code will be the same each week.
This week’s offer is a 513 Deal … $5.13 tickets to the Saturday, September 27 Homecoming game! (Minimum of 4 tickets purchased.)
Here’s what I don’t get (and you plus the lot here save for one turkey are smarter than me, so help me out:) if the school just wants to give away free tickets, do it. Five bucks with inflation is worth like 50 cents so where’s the money? Me, I’d do the 513 thing but make it a concessions pass: you get unlimited soda dogs and chips for $51.30 or…you make a $513 donation to the team you get a signed jersey, meet with Chuck. You make a $5,130 donation, you get to run a play in a game (with input from the staff.) you agree?
I like the idea YellowNumber5.
Annoyed about the Peacock only TV as that is basically almost not really on TV.
ESPN, FOX, CBSSN (even BTN) are way better…
Could you be convinced to sit this one out already?
I have season tickets, so I don’t need or use this special.
Notice that you have to buy a minimum of 4 tickets. I think that Miami is just trying to get a large crowd.
You should have traveled to Tucson.
But even then, the touchdowns didn’t come until the second half.
Agreed just give out the tickets. It seems that Miami athletics rarely thinks outside the box for stuff like this. There are people that want to be bigger fans and they make it hard to be a fan sometimes.
On a somewhat similar note, I reached out to 47 brand a few weeks ago to find out about their lack of selection for Miami. I was surprised they answered. The rep said that Miami didn’t have some of the same hats as bigger brands like OSU, michigan, etc because the university didn’t approve of them…
Standard stuff…..small-mindedness at any cost.
I think the 5.13 makes sense for Oxford. Half the permanent population lives a life of paycheck to paycheck. They work for the University cleaning dorms or waiting tables or for uptown businesses for low hourly wages. $20 or $25 tickets don’t fit their budget but they turn up for those free ticket games. $5.13 is a price which fits their budget and should bring some of them to the game.
I don’t think free tickets are the answer. Studies have shown that when people don’t have a personal investment they have a much higher no show rate than when they have even a nominal investment like $5.13.
I went to UC, Toledo and OU last season and Wisconsin last weekend. I’ll be at Rutgers Saturday and I’m coming up for the UNLV game. That will be it until a possible bowl game.
Or just give them you know, a free ticket. Do it for the first 18,009 that show up.
The game is endless!
