9-8 UC after one quarter. Miami playing good defense but UC’s length and quickness is causing Miami fits on offense. Getting looks but clearly length affecting it. Blumenfeld doesn’t even appear to be on the bench so we only have11 players and not much height. Spending a lot of energy on D.
Both teams 4-17 from the field. Miami 0/7 from three. Tretter and Scalia really affected by UC length and quickness as far as their respective shooting.

22-20 Miami at the half. Singer having another good all round game. Leads Miami with 8 points, Tretter also with 8. Scalia having a really tough shooting game, 1/8 FG. Miami D is really good against a much bigger B12 team. Miami shooting 11/32 from the field. Being outrebounded 25-17. UC shooting 9/31 from the field. Miami 0/10 from the three point line. Miami having to spend a ton of energy on D. Can’t fault the effort. Miami needs Scalia to get going. Our bench has zero points. Singer and Tretter only ones with more than 2 points.
UC has played more players 6’0" or taller in this game than Miami has on the roster!
MIAMI NEEDS TO CONTINUE TO PUSH THE PACE. CAN’T ALLOW UC TO SLOW DOWN.
Miami had a 7 point lead. It has evaporated to 29-29 due to players forcing shots and really poor transition defense. Box called a much needed timeout. Miami’s bench has still yet to contribute a single point with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

UC went on a 15-0 run. 45-35 UC headed into 4th quarter. Singer with 14. Tretter with 12. Rest of the team has 9 points. Bench has given nothing offensively. Singer and Tretter are 13/25 from the field. Rest of the team 4/20.
After a horrendous 3rd quarter Miami storms back, Tretter makes a bucket as time expires going to OT!
