MIAMI V BGSU GAME THREAD!

Did you see who #1 is? :joy:

Yes, our former conference mate, one Northern Illinois University! I am sure their new conference home is thrilled with their newfound notoriety!

Roger…we’ll be there tailgating. Would love to see you again. Will get Brad on the phone and he and Ryan can catch up. Get there in time for lunch and we’ll figure something out to grill. Burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, Bluesman blue cheese burgers? Let me know. We’ll plan to get there by 12. And if it’s raining we’ll just head uptown.

Oops missed it in your note. We’ll be in the big lot at Millet. BG’s not going to be crowded so there will be plenty of space. Got there aboot 12:30 for UCONN/homecoming and there were plenty of spaces. Willlook forward to seeing!

I will never understand why we do themes like this where actual attendance probably won’t exceed 25% capacity. We don’t have to just copy other schools’ ideas when we can’t pull it off.

And if we did it once every other year for a big game I would understand it but we already had a red out this year. I am fine with the team wearing Black

I think I’d just run a promo called “invisible fan night” where either the stands are left intentionally empty or do one where you partner with the Butler County Animal Shelter and fill the stadium with stray dogs. It’s called “who let the dogs out” and aside from all the dog shit, maybe it will distract the other team. I sorta wonder what the record for dogs at a game is…

It seems if we are going to do anything it would be Silver Out.

That way everything would blend into the stands.

Black is being a very sharp contrast to those empty silver bleachers especially on the student side.

Conjoined twin fan night. The premise here is the school would need to sell two person Miami themed gear so imagine a Miami sweatshirt with two M’s on the front and two head holes, rest looks the same. This idea is good math because it gets two people in the door instead of one. Things get weird when it’s time to have a whiz, but that’s how it’s gotta be.

Alex I just report it. I agree with your statement. And maybe if we won games like UC we would have more than 25% capacity. That is the real issue.

The Knolls of Oxford would be a great sponsor for a “Silver Out”.

Kris Manu is ready!

We definitely need some push from that offensive line. BG has had trouble stopping the run…if we run reasonably well, we should be in great shape! Heavner can just throw the ball now and then to keep them honest on D. It would seem we are very fortunate we have BG on the schedule this week.
