Miami’s 2025 Bowl Game

Miami opens as a 3.5 point dog.

I am no gambler so I am completely unscientific in these point musings, but I thought we’d be more like a 6 point dog. Then again, if you didn’t watch the MACC, we did lose by only 10.

Oh Connections, how did I forget about that place :joy:

This concerns me…

Yeah but they also got crushed by Colorado state and shut out by San Diego state

True.They’re a bit Schizophrenic.

Eh, that Boise State team ended up getting blown out by Notre Dame and Notre Dame isn’t even playing in a bowl game…

Right. Boise beat UNLV twice - by 25 and by 17.

WMU only MAC bowl team favored in post season play.

Fresno coach Matt Entz says a number of his players have told him they are probably opting out of the bowl game. He also said he’s not sure who is starting at QB and that their star TE is definitely out with a season ending injury.

USA Today ranks all 35 bowls today (not exactly sure on which parameters), and WMU vs. Kennesaw State was the MAC’s top one at #3 and we were second at #17 in our Arizona Bowl.

My sources say that, when presented with potential options for teams, Snoop specifically asked for us. Chuck Martin confirmed client of Death Row Records.

This is wrong as Miami played Fresno State in the 1986 California Raisin Bowl…. And lost at Fresno’s home field.

Miami played San Jose State in that bowl.

Yep. I was there. Sat in front of President and Mrs.Pierson. We led 7-0. Got beat 37-7. Spartans QB Mike Perez ate our lunch..

I was studying for finals. Took a break with a bunch of buddies to watch. We went back to studying sometime in the 3rd quarter.

Yeah I was there as well. We were down 10-7 right before half, and around midfield went for a first down on 4th and short, running George Swarn and he was stuffed. San Jose took it right down the field and scored to go up 17-7 and never looked back.

The game was at Fresno’s home field but we did in fact play San Jose State. Had a pretty good crowd on hand as well, a near sellout of almost 30,000.
