Miami men at Indiana 7:00 Friday on BTN

Luke! What a talent!!!

6-0 run for Hoosiers. Ughh.

Not sure why we took Luke out there. Ride the hot hand.

This probably won’t go our way but Luke Skaljac needs 20-25 minutes every game. Seems to always make the smart play.

Up yo a 9/0 run. We haven’t scored on over three minutes.

Welp potter fouls out, game likely over

12-0 run…down 17 points and Potter fouls out.

No points now in more than 5 minutes.

Finally hit 2 FT to break the drought.

Not a great result, but I like our odds on the MAC. 14-6?

Seems I often hear about close scores “It wasn’t really that close“. For this one, our long Second half scoring drought notwithstanding, I would say it was actually closer than that. We just went ice cold from the field.

Almost 7 minutes without a single point was definitely a killer.

And once again this team refuses to cover.

Had Kam been a little sharper we’d have been right there. Not the result we wanted but nothing to get hung up on. I hope he can get hot as we have the makings of a great team if he does. Some very solid individual stats as I read the box.

The stretch of the game was 55-50 IU, Ipsaro had a wide open 3, did a triple take and shot an airball. Then 56-50 IU, Elmer missed the front end of a 1and1, we got the offensive rebound, Elmer had an open lane and lost his footing and traveled. After that, we had no offensive flow, taking bad 3s, shying away from contact around the basket and that was it.

7/30 shooting in the 2nd half, 4/16 from 3. Our starters made 2 shots in the 2nd half. Craft was taken out of the game again. The book is out on him. Play him tight and make him put it on the floor. Suder had the inevitable come back to Earth game after the big game on Monday.

But that’s 2 games in a row where Skajac > Cooper, including defensively. Cooper’s going to be left wide open if he can’t make a shot, making it hard for us to score. Arguably out best 5 was Skajac, Ipsaro, Elmer, Suder/Byers, and Potter tonight. The others need to find ways to make their mark on the game if they aren’t scoring.

Indiana looks like a middling BIG team. They have size, 1 good guard, and that’s about it. Not the best coached team either.

I thought the coaches did a good job with the rotations tonight. They rode that best lineup as long as they could given the mismatch with Ballo.

I wasn’t able to watch, but looking at the box score it seems to be getting hard to play Cooper ahead of Skaljak.

I sure hope the book isn’t out on Kam. I certainly trust your assessments as your detail is impeccable, but he’s also been waylaid for a while so maybe he needs time. Also, I’m very high on Wollfork, but he seems out of sync. Very odd box…

Disappointing to have that scoring drought but I thought for most the game we looked like we could play with them. IU is a tough matchup for Suders game. I think he is gonna be much better against MAC opposition as some of the other games against similar talent has demonstrated.

Still think this team should be a top 4 MAC team

I think we scored like 7 points in the last 10 minutes. Plus Suder got hurt and was out. I think Indiana made an adjustment and defended the perimeter harder and we did not get as many high quality shots.
