End the losing streak to Toledo and then you get an easy automatic win against vile Toilet U.
Just watched the end of the Kent/Central game. Based on this and when we played them, Kent may have the worst âneutralâ broadcasts. They even often refer to the Flashes as âweâ and âus.â
The crazy thing is I can still sing all of the lyrics to that without even playing the video.
Cleveland leads the nation in drifters. Always makes me laugh.
Bummed that I couldnât get to see the team play in-person. Iâve been laid up with an upper respiratory infection. If I wouldâve tried to go, I wouldâve lost my voice and coughed up a lung after seeing us shoot 3 after 3 in the 1st half, not working the ball around at all. They may have been open shots, but you can get 22-footers off of 1 pass all game long. We were playing into Easternâs hands, letting them dictate the tempo of the game. With Acuff out, Eastern needed fewer possessions and an ugly game and we obliged in the 1st half.
But luckily, Eastern was abysmal. They had 3 guys capable of scoring and only 1 of those was a 3 point threat so as long as we stayed disciplined on defense and rebounded, we were probably going to be fine. Offensively, we were good enough in the 2nd half, but still not great. We at least played a little inside out and got into the middle of the zone. But we still shot way too many transition 3s.
Still, a good job sticking with it today, beating a bad team when they shouldâve been beaten. And congratulations to the team for making it to Cleveland with 2 games left. This will be the first time in awhile we wonât be sweating out the top 8 in the last week.
Watching Purdue-Michigan State. It really is absurd the size of some coaching and support staffs these days. MSU staff wearing their lime sherbet tops, so they really stand out, but there have got to be more staff than players. Fills two rows.
