ESPN’s stream froze for me and when I refreshed it, the app’s scoreboard said Kent was up 13-3. I’m glad to see that was a typo.

I’m really not upset with the play calling. Decent mix of run and pass across all downs. Consistently getting at least 3 yards each run with decent bursts mixed in. Just need to finish in the redzone.

I have such mixed feelings about this. On one hand, you need to be able to see numbers to do your job or have a competent spotter. On the other hand, we’re seeing someone who really gets excited about the MAC and doesn’t act like it’s a career stop to call bigger games struggle with aging.

I respect Reghi’s love for the MAC. I really do. He’s been the voice of the conference since I was a student (and even before that). He’s the voice of Penno’s shot.

But he has seen better days as a broadcaster.

I still remember Reghi calling Nate VanderSluis “Van Sluis” EVERY SINGLE BASKETBALL GAME.
