MIAMI HOSTS KENT-MAC TITL ON THE LINE-GAME NOTES AND GAME THREAD

The Miami women’s basketball team hosts Kent State on Wednesday, March 4 at 7
p.m. A win versus the Flashes would give the RedHawks their first Mid-American Conference
Regular Season Championship since the 2003-04 campaign. A win against Kent would be Miami’s 25th of the year, a new program record.

Big shout out to Miami’s bench- Over the past two games Miami’s bench has exploded
for 34 points. The RedHawks posted 16 bench points in the win over Eastern Michigan and added 18 points last Saturday versus Akron.

Kent State is in a three-way tie for sixth-place in the MAC at 14-14
overall and 8-8 in conference play. The Golden Flashes are led by Mya Babbitt (16.1 ppg.)
and Janae Tyler (10.5 ppg.). These same two teams competed in the conference
opener back on Dec. 31, a contest the RedHawks won 67-63. Tamar Singer led the way with
16 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the RedHawks, while Ilse de Vries (15 points)
and Amber Tretter (14 points) also scored in double figures.
