Miami @ Bucky Badger 8/30

Chicagoland alumni chapter just emailed that they’ll have two watch parties in the city and Naperville, but nothing else (unlike last year’s Notre Dame package).

Anybody hear why we didn’t get an allocation of tickets to sell to our fans? I’m just curious.
They’re still super cheap on Stubhub in the typical visitor section, but would be nice to know if people buying those are Miami fans!

It was suggested to me by knowledgeable fans that our ticket office doesn’t want the hassle of handling and distributing tickets for away games.

The link for visiting tickets is on Wisconsin’s ticket page

So their ticket office handles their tickets and our tickets. Fascinating.

I know tix are plentiful, but I’ve got 4 in Sec V row 19 to sell. LMK.

Wisky projected depth chart. In a word, the OL and DL are massive.

With Fickle as HC, a mature roster and a proven Big 10 veteran at QB, I don’t understand why they’re not getting a bit more love from the prognosticators. They do have an incredibly challenging schedule.

Wisky’s DL coach is former Miami DL coach EJ Whitlow, who coached Dom Robinson at Miami, among others.

My oh my! I just found this on the Miami Alumni Assn site! Doesn’t look like there was any coordination with the Miami ticket office or the Athletics Dept. This is not the section most online comments show as the primary Visitors section. Most publicity shows Section X or W , where I bought my seats. HH is the upper deck on the Wisconsin side.

Luke Fickel is not a good B1G coach, that’s why.

My guess is that the sources citing sections V-X as being the visiting sections are correct. But even if it isn’t, I’d rather be in row 11 in the corner along the visiting sideline than in the last row of the upper deck.

Indeed!

I am amazed by the apparent disconnect between the Alumni office and the Athletic Department and Ticket Office. They used to work hand in hand on ticketing and alumni special events.

I’m also a little surprised the local Alumni Chapter didn’t plan something pregame at Rutgers.

Maybe with it being a Thursday night game and demand being lower, the Athletic Department turned our allotment back in to Wisconsin?

At ICA’s direction, I bought directly from Wisconsin. Our “ visitor” seats are section X. Really disappointed in how this was handled.

I am in Section U, Row 12- the Alumni Office , Athletic Dept and Ticket Office hadALL SUMMER TO WORK ON THIS AND COULD NOT GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER- LAST MINUTE UPPER SECTION ALUMNI OFFICE OFFER MAKES NO SENSE. I It appears a number of us are in Sections T-U -V- W. Lets do our own alumni gathering at the concession area in Section W 45 minute range before kick- see you at Camp R !

Wisconsin is doing Badgerfest from 5:30 to 7:30 at Union South near the stadium.

@JiveHawk @Hoosierhawk @Spanks004 and I will be out and about in Madison pregame.

Haven’t been there in a while but Wisconsin used to have a really good school-backed ice cream place. If it’s still as good as it was then, I would hit it up if you get a chance.
