Miami @ Bucky Badger 8/30

Should hopefully get decent BTN ratings with it being played on what’s essentially opening night for Labor Day weekend football.

UNLV time/network not announced yet. Hoping that we get CBSSN or something as that should be a decent G5 OOC game. Interested to see how Dan Mullen does after a few years in the studio.

Unfortunately Nebraska vs Cincinnati is scheduled at the exact same time (and they are on ESPN) and Minnesota vs Buffalo is scheduled for 8pm (on FS1)

The amount of times our marquee games are scheduled at the exact same time as the Bearcats or Bengals is truly amazing.

I think our last two bowl games matched with the Bengals playing on a Saturday

In fairness, I think Wisconsin is probably a bigger “name” watch than Nebraska, Cincy, Minnehaha, and Buffalo. I’m a huge CFB fan, and would probably watch that one over the other 2, even if Miami wasn’t playing in it.

Also, should be interesting to see Fickell’s final season as a B1G HC.

I thought the date/time for this was moved a while ago to get a more marque network/time slot for coverage. Happy the game is on BTN, but that’s the minimum because all games I believe in the BG10 are there if they don’t get picked up by ESPN, ESPN 2, ABC, Fox, etc.

The minimum is Peacock because that is what we play on vs Rutgers

I am guessing that Nebraska vs UC outdraws Wisky vs us. I hope not- but that is my guess

When the date change was announced a couple of months ago, it was listed as a 7 pm start

Has anyone heard anything about Miami’s ticket allocation for the Wisconsin game?

Same question. Tickets?

The response I received from the ticket office:

“We will be releasing instructions sometime later this month on our Athletics Website as well as email communications such as Miami Monday on how to purchase tickets for the Wisconsin and Rutgers road games.”

So I called the ticket office, since we’ve reached the end of the month with no additional word on ticket info, and the representative had no idea whatsoever about any blocks of tickets for any road game and suggested that I contact Wisconsin directly.

It’s 4 weeks until kickoff. How do they not have any info on tickets for the season opener in a Big Ten stadium?

That’s ok, they also did not know how reserved parking for home games works.

As the phone rang, I thought, “we’ll see how this goes…”

It met the subterranean expectations.

I just checked the Alumni Association events listing. Nothing is currently planned in Madison or New Brunswick as of today.

I googled this in case we need to buy our tickets freelance instead of through Miami.

Does that having you stewing about it?

Nope. Just surprised about Rutgers.

Just bought 2 in Section W on row 11 on Stubhub. We’ve got the beginning of a Miami cheering section!
