This is the seating. Half the wood is rotten. As you can tell I am very impressed by SEMO’s facilities!
I went to watch Miami Softball play at Campbell a couple weeks ago. Buies Creek has to be the absolute worst “college town” I’ve ever visited. The softball stadium was small but not too bad. But there were no in-stadium rest rooms or concession stands. No food trucks were there for a three day tournament. The closest restaurant and hotel to the Campbell campus is five miles away.
We have no idea what a gem Oxford, Ohio is!

Miami had runners in scoring position in 2nd and 3rd. Didn’t score. 4th inning Christianson goes yard. Pitcher replaced one batter later. Miami has first and second again. Doesn’t score Miami1 SEMO 0, bottom 4.
And SEMO hits a two run dinger . 2-1 SEMO after 4 innings. It is 54 with 19 mph wind gusts, so temp index 42. Freezing my ass off. Dana has herself wrapped in a blanket. We are the only Miami fans here not parents of players. DEDICATION!

Miami scores 1top of 8th and had bases loaded with one out and couldn’t plate more. 2-2 headed to bottom of 8. Too many runners left stranded by Miami today.
Yeah, outside of Columbia the Missouri college towns leave much to be desired. A few pretty good DII programs though.
SEMO with double, 2 singles and sacrifice bunt to take 4-2 lead into the ninth. This is what happens when you don’t take advantage of runners in scoring position.
Miami loses 4-2. Now the two hour drive back to St Louis.
