2 weeks until the season begins. Pre season predictions and rankings have begun. Starting with Evan Appelwick ranked as the #8 first baseman in all of college baseball. Could be a special season from him.

As a casual fan of baseball, how does their pitching look? I recall maybe they lost a starter to the transfer portal, but also picked up a serviceable replacement. Sounds like they have solid field players.
We did lose Katskee to the portal and Cuthbertson to the draft, but we do have a solid amount of returners. Carson Byers was probably our best pitcher last year mainly coming out of the bullpen but for long outings and he returns. Clayton Burke, Landon fulk, Troy benko, austin berggren, among others return with a solid amount of innings last season too

I don’t know a ton about any of the new guys but I trust Coach smiley with anyone who gets brought in. I expect the team to be back at the top of the MAC

Out of the top 5 MAC players from last season that are returning, only 2 are actually returning to the MAC, and both to Miami

Supposedly Appelwick hit a 2-run homer in his first AB of the season! For those keeping count he’s now 5 homers away from tying the all time Miami home run record and 36 RBIs away from tying that record
