Snowbird? When I finally sell Smokey and The Bandit 4 (son of a bandit) I plan to use Snowbird as the intro scene theme.

In other MAC baseball: Kent state just took a series from #13 Tennessee

I don’t follow college baseball that much, but it feels like NIL hasn’t affected things there quite as much as it has in football or basketball. Having the minor leagues and high school draft probably helps with that.

It definitely still is. There was a rant the other year by a mid major coach (JMU I think) about nil the other year and Sayler brought up Evan Appelwick as an example with recent NIL efforts. Although I definitely think NIL is less prominent in baseball. Part of these upsets though is the randomness of baseball compared to sports like football

You can’t game it as easy in baseball as say football because there are tons of great players at D1-naia who can all play. More than any other sport since a lot of parents don’t let their kids play football. Teams have scholarship limits and like mlb, even a bad team can catch a good team and win on the right day.

They recently increased baseball scholarship limit to like 38 so there’s not really a limit anymore. But baseball is also much harder to scout than other sports (in my opinion). Much more focused on tools and potential development than results

Well, Team Bluesman is road tripping for Miami Athletics again this weekend. Today, going to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to see the baseball team play its final game at SEMO. Allows me to wear my new Miami Baseball Jersey I bought at one of our 4 in the last 5 weeks trips from St. Louis to Oxford!

This baseball “stadium” is in a public park! Watching Miami warm up. Standing in Miami’s dugout.
