With a physical team like UMASS once the refs let them push us around inside the best way to take over is with our superior shooting and ball movement. But we just weren’t able to make up for it with enough good 3 point shooting, especially down the stretch.
Toledo going to the final. Toledo has not been to the NCAA tournament since 1980.
Growing up in Toledo as a Toledo fan, I remember that 1980 NCAA tournament. They lost against Florida State, and the game was not even on television in Toledo. Had to listen to that game on the radio.
