I think Mekhi can be a really good player in the OVC. He wasn’t a scorer (and wasn’t asked to be) but wasn’t a bad player at all in the MAC.
No we don’t talk about Gylfi Sigurðsson anymore
Good question. That’s Pete’s #. Maybe Pete’s changing numbers? Or maybe just a jersey he wore for the picture.
Offensively for Miami, I’m pretty sure he’s playing the 5. I haven’t watched enough of him defensively, but most MAC programs are basically running 4 guards - unsure forcing him to guard one sets him up for success.
Rayvon Griffith to Kent. Nice pickup. Former top 75 player nationally.
Petur Gudmundssun was at Washington when I was a grad student there. He was the first Icelandic player in the NBA - for Portland.
Jerseys in announcements have nothing to do with what number the player will actually wear. They just grab a jersey and put the kid in it.
Almar Atkinson. 6-8 230 pounds, from Reykjavik, Iceland. He played in every game the last two years and should be a Junior with 2 years of eligibility remaining. Bradley was good, they lost the Missouri Valley Conference championship game by 5 points. Almar has averaged 19 minutes per game for two years.
FG%. 40%
3 point %. 38 and 41%
FT%. 62 and 64%
Rebounds pg 1.7 and 2
Solid rotation piece … agree, Potter replacement.
IMO We aren’t done yet and I don’t think this guy is replacing potter. I think either he comes back or we are gonna get a project big.
I hope so. He seems like a hybrid replacement between Kraft and Potter. We need a strong rebounder type player now
Has Potter visited New Mexico? If so, when?
Visited NMSU about 2 weeks ago.
Apparantly visited Dayton recently
Thanks. I think I’ll call Jermaine and offer him a bonus if he tells Potter to stay at Miami! And no–I am not serious!
Not a transfer … but see Kent sighned 6-8 Briscoe from Indianapolis. Could he have been a nice pickup behind Woolfolk?
Or just not a good fit.
