JMU is FBS beginning this year.
The game in 2023 replaces the game against Liberty that we cancelled.

Not a bad addition at all…
I agree. I think this is a good replacement for Liberty… sadly, I wish the MAC had gone after them for conference expansion but that is a completely different topic.
Also we are hosting Holy Cross in 2026
When are we making the return trip to Holy Cross?
(Kidding)
We’ll see how their FBS transition will go but they’ll likely be a very tough opponent (three straight FCS semifinal appearances and just five total losses over the past three seasons).
With that our first four games of 2023 are set (in order): @ Da U, @ UMass, @ UC, vs. JMU. We still need a week-one game in 2026, whatever we end up scheduling for then (almost certainly a P5 buy game) will be followed by: vs. Holy Cross, vs. UC (at PBS), @ JMU.
James Madison won their FBS opener yesterday 44-7 over MTSU.
JMU was or is ranked in first FBS year…Miami 6-6?
I would not be surprised if Miami does not play them next year.
Why?
JMU finally lost - yesterday at Georgia Southern. That MTSU team JMU whupped in early September beat Coral Gables by 21 a couple weeks ago. .
Last game notes the game was not listed for 2023.
The game notes are updated very poorly in my opinion - so I would assume JMU is still on
Interesting. The series is longer on Football’s Future Schedules page either. I’ve got somewhere else I can look.
There is a website that has them all. It is like future fbs scheduling
The fbsschedules.com has the series listed for both Miami and JMU. The official JMU Football site lists it too. The omission must be a Miami error.
I think Miami just hasnt updated. I think there are others not listed as well
Redsea - Yeah. The 2024 game with Notre Dame isn’t on our site either.
Contract is signed and posted: Public Records Frequently Requested Contracts | Intercollegiate Athletics - Miami University
Great site! Thanks!
