yes…and Anderson really helps make that movement work, dude can pass.
Every time another guy gets healthy, he’s had to adjust his game a bit.
Lairy is easily one of the most talented players to come through MU. If he has a big year (and he looks primed to do so) I hope he gets some summer league/d league sniffs.
Yup…and he’s buying in to the new system and responsibilities, etc…won Black & Gold jersey last practice…he’s a heck of a player.
I was simply trying to give him credit, because as Coach Steele pointed out more than once earlier in the year, Lairy wasn’t being unselfish and his play was hurting the team. Looks like Lairy is buying into Coach Steele’s system which is very nice to see.
Our offense seemed to work best when either Stafford or Anderson played the high post.
Best high post passer since Brad Daugherty!
…And Bill Walton!
Coach Steele compared Anderson’s passing to Vlade Divac and Sabonis.
Meh, Steele’s entitled to his opinion.

I got the information from the radio broadcast postgame interview with Travis Steele, who mentioned that one of his Xavier assistants is at ISU this year and they talk a lot. Steele said that they are high on their team and that they are expected to be one of two teams fighting for the MVC crown, and they are a team with a lot of 5th year Seniors.
They sure played like contenders tonight.
They are 7-1 with a win over top contender Drake. However, all 8 games have been at home and several have gone right down to the wire. They are very experienced and were probably pretty well fully developed when the season started. So unlike us ( a team who started out with 3 starters out and giving lots of minutes to 4 true freshmen) they are not likely to get all that much better as the year wears on ( kind of like our team last year). Hopefully our team will just continue getting better as the year goes on and we get healthier and all the new guys get comfortable in our system and in competing at this level.
Since this is Indiana State’s first road game, that makes this an excellent opportunity for a bid upset.
All games at home…hopefully they unfamiliar with black curtains!
Fear the Black Curtain!
With volleyball season over, I was hoping that Miami would take down the curtain at the south end of the court, and screw up the visiting teams shooting during the second half of each game.
What about black curtain for us…no curtain for them…hmmmm, I like it!
Fear the hypnotic powers of the black curtain!!
