Curtis Harrison is the guy I’m bummed is injured. I think his body and athleticism would go a long way on the defensive side of the ball. We’re sorely lacking any rim protection which exacerbates the miscues we’re making on rotations and hard drives.
All in all, though, as others have said, it’s soooooo refreshing to finally watch a Miami group play with passion, energy and togetherness. And to trust that the staff in charge is operating with urgency and accountability.
I’m going to have fun watching this group throughout the year. We’ll see guys take big leaps, learn along the way, and hopefully find team success as we get into conference play.
Smith battling out of position all night due to foul trouble of Lewis and Lairy.
Realistically, 25 minutes a game with a lot of time at the 3.
Safford more physical and more likely to play at the 4 than Smith. Etzler more of a 4 too.
Smith and Williams are more of a 2/3. Same for Lewis.
I was really impressed with Lewis. Now I see why they call him the Swiss Army Knife.
They like Smith at 4 hoping the other teams 4 loses track of him. Not Georgia. Georgia assistant recruited Smith at West Point and was yelling to find him every time in transition.
