Takes me back to a time when we played a home/home yearly against Dayton. Coach Hedric and Donoher were good friends. Heard stories how they would stay up talking until 4 am after a game.
OSU and WSU can fall off a cliff for all that I care. They went to the Mountain West on bended knee for a scheduling agreement so that they could even have a season this year. The contract included a financial penalty were they to poach the MWC. So, what did they do? Poach the NWC and then sue the MWC to try and get out of the poaching penalty. Shameless institutions. When they play Oregon and Washington, that will be two games where I root for the P4 teams to curb stomp the G6.
I have several times suggested playing a home and home every year with Wright State. One in November and one in December. That would give both teams a hard to get attractive non league home game, and some opposing fans would travel.
That is a bit lame to have same team in same season football games. They are trying to hold on to what was, but historically 90% of the time neither of them were that awesome. Dennis Erickson days were one of the times.
Football?
Yes, none of the MW teams are joining the PAC until 2026 and their scheduling agreement with the MW ends after this year so both Wazzu and Oregon state are practically independents next year
Looks like we’re headed to Nebraska in 2027

Is it on the website yet?? If not it can’t be true😂
I predict a Sea of Red in Lincoln that day!
A good friend who lives in Nebraska just texted me this. I’m planning on being there
Rough three weeks:
@ Nebraska
@Purdue
@WKU
Purdue is terrible and wku might winnable games
In 2024 Purdue was terrible. In 2027 they could be terrible or they could be Indiana
Rough three weeks for a couple of Big 10 teams and WKU, maybe.
Well aware of the fact Purdue and WKU are not tough right now. Rough in regards to travel three weeks in a row and knowing the MAC they will probably give Miami an away game the fifth week
Big paydays I hope??
I’m pretty sure we haven’t been taking anything for less than $1M during Sayler’s tenure so definitely above that, and NU can certainly afford it.
Nm to second half.
According to FBSchedules.com, we open the season with the home game against Stonehill, so we at least have the (in theory) FCS victory before the back-to-back-to-back road games.
I really think we can sneak a victory between Nebraska and Purdue. And WKU had a down year this year but you never know…most years they are very good. Getting through these 3 games 2-1 would be ideal.
