Offering a Colorado state wr
Can he give us their playbook?
He played in 11 games this year. No picks. 26 total tackles. 4 pass break ups.
=>Who you calling white?
Oh, I know he was in the rotation. Just looking at the last depth chart he wasn’t listed. I guess I’m wondering how he will make to the NFL if he wasn’t starting for us.
It’s not all about making it to the NFL. Some guys just want more NIL
For sure. It’s just that his post explicitly mentions making the NFL.
Quentin Rollins made the NFL after not playing football for 4 years. Not the recommended path, but proved anything is possible.
QR recently inducted into Wilmington (HS) HOF.

Good point. I stopped reading them all since it’s the same general idea in each lol

Entire Marshal team to portal?
Yeah every portal announcement is pretty much boiler plate. Thank god. Thank your family. Thank the coaching staff. Thank the fans and the school. Followed by “…with that being said,” yada, yada. So far all of our guys have mentioned playing on Sundays. It’s almost as if each guy used the same template.
Not one of these ungrateful kids has ever thanked me. It rankles me, but I guess that’s showbiz.
Just 6 at Marshall so far.
I noticed a new trend in the bio of some of the guys going to the portal stating that they are “Professional Athletes”. That includes the WR we offered from Colorado State.
Not even hiding it. I guess we are not going to land this guy.
He likely won’t.
This is the perfect example of somebody who is good but blocked and is transferring so that he will get to play. That is the biggest positive I see in the portal.
Javon Tracy reported offers already: Indiana, Minnesota, Pitt, Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Boston College. He is visiting Indiana and Minnesota this week.
Yeah, he is really good, plus 2 years left to get better, not just one.
I thought when we signed him he was the best looking WR recruit in a long time…Now Braylon ISom, who was a freshman this year who is redshirting has just as much potential as Tracy did when he came here. I would think these defections open a path to playing time for him next year.
Given we have lost Virgil and Tracy, assuming it doesn’t burn their redshirts, I would get Isom and Weaver playing time in the bowl. I know we have Cade, Andre Johnson, and Kam Perry, but may as well get guys we will rely on for next year some meaningful snaps as well.
