Football portal 2024/25

In that case why not start Hesson?

And then he enters the portal in December 2025 :grinning:. Rinse and repeat. Similar to being a Guardians fan but these guys are mostly on one year deals

I am glad the offers for Tracy, Virgil and Strader are meaningful but it still is a tough week.

Jados in the portal according to ESPN

More of a broad, philosophical question, but are we even concerned about burning redshirts at this point? The odds of us keeping someone for five, four, or even three years are almost zero at this point. If I was a G5 coach, I wouldn’t even think about redshirts. Play guys when you want because you’re not going to have them their whole career anyway.

Right now our hope is that MAC football is so much worse than Power 4 football that we can replace all conference type players at Miami with cast-offs and backups at Power 4 level and not lose any production

So how do we ever honestly deserve to make the playoff in that scenario

I hate this week. I know we will get good players in the portal. I know we have good recruits eager to show their talents. But this week absolutely sucks.

Honestly I am not. But if I didn’t mention it, I figured someone would comment about my not mentioning it. I personally don’t care about saving RS years anymore, for the exact reason you state.

If indeed true, I would like to see us add 1-2 OL from the portal. Guys who have at least some game experience. Similar to what we did with John Young. So now all the guys I was concerned about have entered the portal except Blakey. Hopefully we keep him.

Four of the G5 programs listed have had coaching changes.

Confirmed, Jados posted the thank you on twitter.

Jados has offers so far from Pitt and Oklahoma State. I didn’t doubt the Jados information, as I follow all this on Twitter, and other sites.

If you look at who we have leaving either by graduation or portal, we have significant holes to fill at DB, DL, OL, RB, WR, QB.

I think we’re losing about 26 players at this point…most of them talented and experienced. About half of our roster this year was Freshmen, Redshirt Freshmen and Sophomores (69 total in those classes).

Funnily enough I am pretty sure Sam Houston says everyone is playing in the bowl, I wonder if Miami can do the same

Got to love Sheriff Nottingham Week where the rich steal from the poor and no one fucking cares.

Us little heel nipper guys care but are almost totally powerless to do anything about it.

Although hopefully Hondru returns.

We lose Salopek and Wise. Let’s be honest, we need help everywhere.
