It looks like we’re pretty well stocked at RB this season. If the rebuilt OL can gel it could get exciting in the run game.
Thanks, Grumpy.
Ringer was not only one of the best RB in Indiana, he was named Mr Running Back in Indiana He was also Mr Football. And, he was the Gatorade POY in Indiana. A stud. His numbers, and videos, were amazing.
And now, Noah Erlich, our QB signee from Indiana, was the Gatorade POY in Indiana last season. One is great. Back to back is, well, damn amazing!!
The Amos train is long gone and it’s right to look forward, but our 2024 OOC season may have been a lot different if he had stayed. It’s easy to forget how much our running game sucked to start the year while Brett was also not 100% healed.
Regardless, Mozee and the unit caught on during MAC play and we look to be in good shape this fall. Wisconsin will be a tall order, I’m anxious to see if we can come out in the opener strong for once.
Rebuilding the OL is the key to the offense.
Let’s become the MAC super team that collects the players that dominate the MAC and go up to the power 5, but decide to come back like Finn.

Is he even “Wisconsin’s Tanner Koziol” at this point? He’s basically still “Ball State’s Tanner Koziol who took part in a partial semester exchange program.”
Hell, he’s only spent a little more time at Wisconsin than I have… and the first time I’ll step foot in Madison will be August 27.
Potential size on the DL. We have a great young core on this team, but adding a few senior depth pieces would be a huge help and it doesn’t scare anyone away.

24/7 now projecting Tanner Koziol to Houston.
Amos lands at Georgia State…for now
I’ve said it before, I wish Rashad well. I’ll always appreciate what he did while in Oxford, especially in the second half of the 2023 season, when we needed a guy to carry the load to get to and win the MACC. I hope he is building a nice bank account and I hope he eventually earns a degree somewhere.
Looks like former App State QB Joey Aguilar will in fact be “traded” by UCLA to Tennessee in exchange for Nico Iamaleava.
And Iamaleava’s brother who is also a qb is joining him at UCLA
My wife’s cousin went to Warren High in Downey and then UCLA, so I assume this is all his doing.
hadn’t seen this reported but looks like there were a few additions to the portal from Miami, all RS Freshman or Sophomores
They were likely told to leave. CM likes to thin the herd after spring ball.
Three of these kids were freshman on one a 2nd year. Signed couple tight ends and LB’s in portal so bit ot a tough lesson for the kids. Coach figured out early on they weren’t going to help in the long run so he didn’t just tell them to leave, he yanked their scholarship. The new world of college football is pretty f’in brutal. Dreams shattered. Educational plans put aside. Just hope the kids find something that works for them for both an education and secondarily for their football dreams.
I think all is fair with todays rules but are we sure that these were cuts. Is it possible sure- but it could be that they decided it on their own after seeing the depth chart. Teal and Harriman I thought were notable recruits
Harriman definitely was a heralded recruit.
Unfortunately, players today want to be recognized as professionals and be treated/paid as such. Therefore, the schools should treat them as pros and sign/cut whenever they want without any bitching about a player being treated as a pro, meaning sometimes they get cut to be replaced by a better player.
This is the new world and they should recognize that sometimes they will have to suffer the reality of being treated as pros. And not just NIL, but the value of the education/degree must be recognized, which is not the case today. As the NIL is considered income and taxed as such, maybe the value of the scholarship should be recognized as income and taxed.
As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for. All kinds of unintended consequences.
