Finn is no longer on the team

Most in this forum are rightfully ignorant of what has transpired over the season and more specifically, the last week. Speculation solves nothing. What is best for the program is to support Chuck and the team for the next 2 weeks. Choosing to do otherwise hurts us all.

I’m sorry but you can’t ask me for thousands of dollars in NIL contributions and then when the top expense of that collective leaves the team, just tell me he’s a great kid and he’s training for the next level.

I mean, you can, but you aren’t seeing another cent from me if that’s the case. As I said above, you don’t owe me all juicy details, but don’t piss on my leg, tell me its raining, and then come back in two months and ask for another contribution. When you start asking the fans to be the ones to pay the players, they are now actual, real stakeholders in the team.

To be fair, every coach across the country would do the same thing with an unserious media outfit we drag into the press conference room

I bet he got money from Toledo boosters to sit. Prolly got money to tank at Ohio. I’m not saying you can’t acquire players from other MAC schools (Hunter in basketball was money but Northern stunk and he wanted to win.) I worry about letting in players from our chief rivals. The money flowing around covertly is making the ethics very dubious. Impossible to police. You may say I’m wrong. I might be. But that’s the thought I wonder.

It’s an incestuous circle-jerk.

If you stray from the expected scripted questions, you can go jerk-off.

If they’re expecting us to pay guys’ salaries, they owe us an explanation of why guys leave.

Just a reminder that ā€œour starting QB is preparing for football at the next levelā€ even though ā€œif we win out, we’re likely going to the conference title gameā€.

Yeah, no one is buying this bullshit. This is a terrible look for everyone especially us dumbass fans who continue to support this Colorado Rockies-ass athletic department.

DICK deserved better than this.

Just pissed away 100K on a 4-4 record.

Fair point. And if the rumour is true that Finn offered to assist in the game plan for the Toledo game and was rebuffed, is it possible that coaching staff was uncomfortable due to your point?

We live in strange times.

Interesting fact of the day.

Profit on gambling from sports books ($13.5) is now almost equal to all ticket sales to sporting events ($15 billion).

Some time soon I bet (might be a bad pun if above is true) the truth will come out. Right now coach is doing what he’s got to do; damage control. So as hard as it is maybe we need to give him a break. Once the story gets told hopefully he’ll ā€˜fess up. If he doesn’t then I guess he’s fair game. Until then we have two games to win.

Good lord. Yet more support for my personal hobby horse that sports betting should take place only in Vegas sports books or in dingy dive bars where a shady guy gives you odds written on a legal pad.

You have more faith than me… whatever happened, I doubt we ever hear anything deFINNitive

Excellent pun. Odds of real truth coming out at 6 to 1. Odds of lots of unsubstantiated rumors…100%!

There’s over 100 people, players, coaching, staff involved with the team and I’m sure most if not all have an idea of why he left. Eventually something will come out

WTH happened to he is a great kid, hardest working person in building, high football IQ, who just wants to win games?

Sounds like he was still being recruited long after he signed on with Miami…..

When we sign athletes to the NIL deals, we certainly have to include clauses about ā€˜playing the entire season,’ right?
