Agree - great venue
Any Academy game is nice to have on the schedule.
Sadly this makes it very tough to play any of them as they all usually play easy FCS and then now all only have 1 OOC extra game free since all now in a conference.
Where’s the other MHTers? Lets go. South of Lancaster is fine. Just watch for cops. Saw 2 State Patrols with cars pulled over at about 12.
As of July 1, 2025, Missouri State and Delaware will be joining CUSA. So both football teams moving up from FCS to FBS.
And Texas State is expected to accept an invitation to move from the Sun Belt to the PAC 12 today - effective July 1, 2026.
Sacramento State’s petition to move from FCS to FBS was recently denied.
Should be interesting to see what happens to the American, ACC and Big XII when Clemson and The U leave. IMHO, we’re about a decade away from the LIV-College Football SuperConference with the usual suspects of CFB playing in their own conference, and everyone else figuring out what the frigg to do.
I could see Miami U in a football league with Tulane, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech and Duke, along with Buffalo and Toledo. Dare to dream …
Would be nice, Carm!
…and I know it’s not the same conference as it once was, but Texas State in the PAC 12???
Yep. Texas State is in San Marcos - right between San Antonio and Austin. They bring that TV market - shared with UT and UTSA . They now have close to 40,000 students. And they bring Texas into the PAC 12 recruiting mix.
North Carolina will be going to either the B1G or SEC. The B1G apparently covets the Tar Heels highly.
So, for football in the RTC, you have UNC, NC State and Duke. All 3 are fairly equal with upper-echelon MAC teams. Could be some fun matchups for the fall-out of a CFB Superleague.
(All 100% Speculation on my part, though)
Supposedly La Tech will be replacing them in the Sunbelt.
Or WKU
Sometimes I wonder if some sort of MAC/Sun Belt alliance would make sense.
Further from God and closer to Marshall? No thanks.
