If Scoop is as electric as some say he is we may not miss Reynolds this year.

Even with the loss of Reynolds, I don’t see a ton of holes in that two deep. The obvious being uncertainty at QB and possibly DB depth. Otherwise, a lot to like there.

Only concern is QB
With Coleman and Wilson leaving, we don’t need any more losses on the DL either.

Didn’t read all the responses, but fairly certain #0 is Nelson.
Scoop considerably smaller and would not likely be getting reps in that formation. Nelson’s around 5’8”, but quite muscular as the lead back.
Kam Wilson was injured in 2025 and a R Sr, so it may be his injury simply didn’t come around enough to let him play or he just decided to move on with his life.

How’s the battle for QB going? I thought the guy from Ft Hays (Heavner) would be in the mix given his previous PT.
One interesting thing on the QB battle and CM’s historic reluctance to give anything away about who our starter is, including last year when it was painfully obvious. The Miami Youtube channel has been running position previews that were being released daily, but were clearly all shot at the same time, in succession. After the TE preview came out 3 days ago, it was teased that the next day’s preview would be QBs. Then, no videos were released for a couple days until yesterday’s on-field interview with CM in which he primarily previewed the QB battle while saying basically nothing of substance.
This leads me to believe that the QB preview that was shot at the same time as the other position previews was scrapped. Unless @VoxRedHawks has any insight, we can only speculate why that might be the case. Maybe CM felt he divulged too much initially? Maybe something has changed in the QB room (interesting that Heavner wasn’t mentioned at all yesterday).
Of course, it could be none of those things and the QB preview video may still be released but then why focus yesterday’s interview on the battle between McComb and Gotkowski?

I saw enough of Gotkowski at the end of the season, and we can assume that Chuck & Co did as well, otherwise they wouldn’t have pursued McComb and ponied up the bucks that they could have used elsewhere if QB wasn’t a major concern. So if Gotkowski is named the starter, our scouting department dropped the ball.

I agree it seems like something has changed - why say you’re putting out a preview then not do it.
I’d be surprised if Chuck divulged too much initially. He says basically nothing in those.
I wonder if maybe Reynolds injury is the driver. These were all obviously pre-recorded. If he alluded to Keith, then maybe thats it?

I agree since Chuck is wearing the same shirt in all of those previews they had to be shot on the same day

I had the same thought. Perhaps they need to get Chuck back in the studio and make sure he is wearing the same shirt.
With respect to Gotkowski, the love child of Peyton Manning and Johnny Unitas wouldn’t have produced much of anything the way our OL played in the MACC and Snoop Bowl.
