Not super-difficult to see us as 4-1 in the MAC with Safford. Though also not tough to see us as 4-1 without him. Big breakout games by two freshmen in the past two games is exciting to see. We’re close. If this class stays together, we have very bright days ahead of us. (As an aside, would love to see some minutes for Kotecki - I think he’s got as much potential as the rest of the class.)
Probably not great that we’re editing the coach’s postgame comments about the refs. The refs didn’t beat us.
Again way too many fouls - a number of them totally senseless ( eg Anderson walking down the court and commiting a reach in). Also rebounding BG missed free throws- I believe we gave up at lest 4 points on BG missed free throws- this is a basic failure to box out mistake. Bultman had 5 TO’s - he was not able to control the ball all evening. We give up easy points in the paint on drives to the hoop- until we fix this we will see this the rest of the season- we need to play a bit more zone to counter this until our inside D ( esp Potter ) gets stronger. This team is good enough to win any MAC game . Hope to see improvements Sat.
