Basketball Schedule 2023-2024

Anyone see whether Nate Peavy joined the team for the PR trip?

I know it is extremely early, but it looks like D2 transfer Bryce Bultman, a 6’5" guard from Mckendree University, is going to be an early contributor. He had a high game of 36 last year at McKendree and averaged 16ppg and brings leadership to the team. The more contributors we have the better.

If they stay healthy, the crew we have is really good. We gonna win.

Haven’t seen any schedule leaks in a while. When does the MAC typically release the conference schedule?

Is there any info on who played in that game for the BSN all star team? There’s some former NBA guys in that league, including DeMarcus Cousins.

Last Year, Miami released its full schedule on August 24, 2022.

Agree with you on Bryce Bultman, and I believe the same can be said for Bradley Dean. I believe both Bultman and Dean will be starters alongside Safford and Mirambeaux. The fifth starter will be between Mabrey, Hunter, Lewis and possibly even Jaquel Morris.

The true freshman will form a deep and talented bench.

Should be an entertaining season for the first time in a long time.

I don’t see any way to start Mirambeaux and Morris. You just can’t have two guys on the court who shoot under 25% from 3 as your go-to lineup anymore. Mabrey, Hunter, or Elmer are my guesses. I also don’t know that Bultman will be a starter, but he’s definitely a contender.

Maybe they play together against certain looks, but that puts the offense at such a disadvantage and takes away everything Mirambeaux gives you on that side of the court. I also don’t know that either Mirambeaux or Morris have the lateral speed to guard most MAC 4s. Morris really struggled hedging on screens, and now he’s going to play defense on the perimeter (where most college 4s live now)?

In 100% agreement it will be an entertaining season.

When I get time, I’m going to move the non-schedule posts to a season thread. Until then…

I already have a fantastic shirt idea planned for when Reece returns sophomore year: “Welcome Back Potter”. Anything?

Reece Potter. Whoa. I don’t comment on recruits until they play tougher competition. That video was against some grown-a** men. Whoa.

Small sample size but I love the guys taking the ball strong to the basket.

You have to be 75 to understand what it means. Should play well with the contingent from The Knolls.

I’m about 20 years younger than 75, but it makes me think…. “Yo Vinnie Barbarino!” Is Vinnie on our lists of recruits?

Elmer threw down on someone.

@mz343 how’s that for a recruit against a grown man

Some things i noticed (maybe wrongly without better resolution):

  • that lineup has 4 freshmen on the court: Ipsaro, Elmer, Kotecki, and Potter
  • that’s a taller lineup than most in the MAC 6’0", 6’5", 6’6", 6’9", 7’1"
  • what an outlet pass by Kotecki
  • how did Potter make it baseline to baseline so fast at 7’1"

(I think I posted the first response in wrong reply section.)
