Attendance has nothing to do with buy games, money does. If they can afford to buy a game from Miami, they can afford it. That said, they did do a home/home with Buffalo that finished last season. Curious if the game they played against BG last year is the start of a home/home or a buy.
I’ve heard even if Miami wants to play Dayton, there’s a chance it’s not happening because Dayton doesn’t want to. Same with multiple local programs. Miami is a team expected to have significant improvements this year. Until that reputation improves, coaches see it as a lot of risk for limited reward. It’ll add to the scheduling complexity this year and probably next.
OSU released their schedule today. Playing Miami either Dec 5th or 6th. Assuming Miami is looking to fill a slot around that date that’ll impact which they choose.
