Looks like we’ll be playing three Sun Belt teams this season - Texas State in Oxford, Marshall on the road in early December and at a TBT team in February.
I’m in but only if you can promise some Thomas the Tank Engine sheets with questionable stains on them.
Selfishly hoping for at Georgia Southern in February!
At Coastal would work well for me.
Unfortunately for you, Coastal isn’t taking part this season along with Marshall. Sun Belt has 14 teams vs the MAC’s 12. Marshall already had some MAC games planned.
WKU and MTSU should have joined the MAC!
I have advocated for years two additions to the MAC: WKU and getting Marshall back. I continue to advocate for both.
Marshall’s long gone. They’re right where they want to be. Their fan base would much rather travel to the Carolina’s, Georgia, the Gulf Coast and Tidewater Virginia than to Buffalo, Ypsilanti, DeKalb or Akron. They can always pick up an OOC series with nearby Ohio.
Women will play at Louisiana-Monroe.
Also, the February match-ups will be NET (RPI) dependent.
Bumping this as we should be getting closer to a schedule release.
Also hosting Texas St and away at a TBD Sunbelt school based on NET (last season we were 8th in the MAC, which would’ve been App State in the SunBelt, account for Marshall not participating). That gives us 9 games compared to 13 OOC last season.
As long as we can get rid of buy games against D3 schools (or at least limit to 1-2 exhibitions in the pre-season) it’s a step in the right direction imo.
BSN is a Puerto Rican pro league.
