Very good offensive half. Craft and the frosh are playing well.
Defensively Noel is killing them. Too often Miami getting caught switching and Noel exploits the mismatch. He’s singlehandedly putting Miami in foul trouble.
Wright State controlled the pace in the 1st half. We’re not defending them well. We’re fortunate they’re only shooting 50% from the floor. Except for Skajac, our guards are getting outplayed. Our guards need to drive and kick once they get in the paint. Some secondary movement off the ball off the penetration would help.
Our shotmaking has kept us in the game. Craft doesn’t need much daylight to get his shot off. Skajac and Byers have been good off the bench.
Defensively, we’re a step behind what they’re doing. We’re not reacting correctly or quickly to what they’re doing.
Both those guys could certainly light it up. Bramos averaged 12 ppg his soph year and topped out at 17. Hayes averaged around 14. I’ll venture that Craft scores more than that, although Steele’s offense will generate more possessions than Coles’.
