Watch the Roll the Tape video. The team does this before games. No reason we can’t get the fans involved doing the same thing.
We did band day under Dr. Lytle and it stopped under his replacement Dr. Johnson (and hasn’t been restarted by Dr. Yahl). I think it’s a good way to put butts in the seats and a nice event to do for the high schoolers. It also doesn’t necessarily recruit a ton of prospective students and takes a lot of time/effort to coordinate in the busiest time of year for the MUMB (who are very short on staff/funds as it is). Speaking from experience too, it’s not that popular with band members who don’t love the extra 2-3 hour commitment on top of what they’re already doing for the game.
I saw a billboard in Florence Kentucky about this very topic. It said “Yahl bring back band day ya hear.”
How large is our band now? Just looking on TV/youtube it appears it has shrunk over the years. I believe BG has 400 members & one of the largest in the country

UC does band day. My niece participated with her high school band. Thought it was very cool. Good recruiting tool. Although she is targeting OSU so she can be in TBDBITL.

There you go…..set up a “Dispensary” by the statues…..after all, they’re all “stoned” there for starters…..
$12 for the Miami and UMASS games. Ohio has plenty of options lower than $33 a game.
Miami has run sales as well. $5.13 for Homecoming was one of the Tuesday Ticket Flash Sale Promos.
They did a nice calender promo a while back called “Sexy seniors of Oxford Knolls.” Was a game giveaway. There was some controversy as some thought the photos were too revealing but at least they were trying new things. Haters gonna hate.

Nice crowd today! Maybe they should have family weekend every weekend and Tuesdays in November 
I did my part by staying in STL this weekend. Had a surgical procedure yesterday. Watched it on TV, gave my usual outstanding banter on the game thread and now off to see Miami hockey at Lindenwood!

If Miami was a normal school we would have a big homecoming in the fall too but we do the big alumni weekends in June.
I did think it was a decent crowd for a pretty chilly day and at the end it was somewhat loud and super fun
